Starcross Parish Council – Casual Vacancy
Starcross Parish Council has a vacancy for the role of Councillor.
Would you like to be more involved in the way in which Starcross is maintained, how resources are utilised and how the community is developed? Are you able to commit to regular monthly meetings and are you prepared to give a few hours a month to the community?
If the answer is ‘yes’, the Parish Council would love to hear from you.
Please complete an Application Form and return to the clerk by 31 May 2025.
Upon receipt, you will invited to a co-option meeting at which members may wish to ask you some questions based on the information provided in your submitted application form. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions. Members will then proceed to vote on each candidate. The successful candidate will be declared immediately after the voting and, after signing a Declaration of Acceptance of Office, may take their seat immediately.
The process of Co-option can sometimes take 4-6 weeks. The Clerk will advise you of the date of the co-option meeting upon receipt of your application.
