Busy Summer

The Pavilion in particular has had its share of ‘Ups and Downs’ during the last few
months. ‘Ups’ include increased private bookings and the expansion of the two Café mornings. The
Thursday Café, run by the Parish Council, includes the Post Office, and on both Tuesday’s (run by
Westbank) and Thursday’s, the Community Larder. The ‘Downs’ were the unfortunate discovery of
a water leak in the shower areas which resulted in a weakening of the floor. Fortunately repairs
were largely covered by an insurance claim and we were ready for the start of the new football
season.
